Just A short message of thanks to all the brethern of 788 who took the time and made the effort of supporting the Lodge on Wednesday at Kirkliston Maitland where our S.D. John Wilson recieved Hon Membership of 482.

Special thanks to R.W.M. of 226 Rab Benson and the members of Portobello who swelled the numbers up to Twenty Two.

On Sunday i had the pleasure of being caddy to Bro Sean Cairns and Bro Dennis Roberson in the final of the Malloch Trophy held at Broomie Knowe golf club and it gives me great pleasure in letting you all know that Lodge St John Corsorphine are  now the proud holders of the said trophy after Sean and Dennis came through convincing winners of to-days match.

Commiserations go to Bro Bill Aitchison and Bro David Clark who put up a good fight but the day proved to be one of 788's finest.

Well done boys.

For the fist time since I can remember 788 is in with a shout to picking up this prestigious sporting trophy. This is thanks to the skill and ability of our fine golfers Brothers Dennis Robertson and Sean Cairns. They have reached the final which has to be played by the 16^th October so on behalf of the Lodge I wish you both the best of luck in your final match.
